Since leaving art college in 1984, I have continued to explore my painting. I am fortunate enough to have a studio and an artist husband, Kevin (who I met at college).
I love painting portraits, especially faces surrounded by red hair. One of these portraits is in Saatchie Art, with the title “Red and Blue”. I have worked with a particular model who has the attribute of red hair for a number of years.
At this strange time, I am painting bubbles, perhaps to do with the fact that we are all in one, due to Covid-19. I have three paintings in an online exhibition called “A World Without end”.
There are many paintings behind my final image and I always find it fascinating to see how the painting seems to evolve on its own, becoming stronger until there is no more to give on my part.
